The purpose of this activity is to expose clients to a wide range of different authors, genres, writing styles and ideas by use of audiobooks to spark clients’ love for literature.
Audiobooks have come a long way from their humble beginnings; these days’ audiobooks are undistinguishable from watching a good movie, with actors narrating stories, background music and sound effects - audiobooks are now fully immersive and are all the rage.
The facilitator of this activity has thoroughly researched some of the best modern fiction/nonfiction and classic literature that audiobooks have to offer. At the start of each month, the group will cast a majority rules vote that will determine what book gets listened to. At the end of each Book Club activity, clients will discuss what they thought of the book, how it made them feel as well as what their personal highlight was that day. For listening purposes, a pair of good quality headphones are recommended for this activity as well as a supportive chair as you want your body to be comfortable on this adventurous journey.
The cost of Beyond Vision’s Interactive Zoom groups range, depending on how many participants are involved. For example if there are
4 participants the cost will be $15 per hour
3 participants it will be $20 an hour
2 participants it will be $30 an hour
Individual experience it will cost $60 an hour.
Groups will be limited to 4 participants to ensure a manageable experience for everyone involved.
