Ready Set Connect event

09/04/2024

I would like to share some information about a really great networking event I went to today at Kedron Wavell Services Club. The event was facilitated by a group called One Community and it is called Ready Set Connect. I think this event would benefit NDIS participants, support workers and coordinators alike to connect with their community and get a better idea of what credible services are out there.

Please watch the video if you would like to know how it all went for me. Last but not least, I would like to give a big thank you to my always amazing wife Emma for all the support she gave me today, couldn’t have done it without you dear! Go team!

You can find more information about upcoming Ready Set Connect events here https://www.onecommunity.net.au/ready-set-connect

  • Good morning Peter here I'm at The Ready Set Connect event at Kedron Wable Services club and to give you an idea about what that's about imagine like a speed dating scenario but instead of the dating side of things you've got different organisations from the area sitting in a giant circle, they all got their own table

So the participants come in and spend 5 minutes at each table and they get to learn about what that organisation does, they get to take home some business cards, some information and add to their resources and we've got a table here, so yeah tune in a little bit later on I'll let you know how we went today

(Emma) So Peter that was your first Ready Set Connect event how do you feel you went?

(Peter) Look at this what a bounty of cards here and resources it was great it went really really well so any support workers out there or any plan coordinators out there who are looking for new Services I really recommend going to the next Ready Set Connect event it's a great way see what's out there, great way to connect and you know put together a resource kit like what we have here
