Historic Rivermill

Outing Description

If you’re the type of person that enjoys a good old-fashioned day trip and you love a bit of history too, then mark the Historic Rivermill down as a must-visit destination.

You’ll find this charming building in Mount Nathan, about half an hour inland from the Gold Coast. The building is over 100 years old and was the first and largest of three mills which operated along the Coomera River. These days, the Rivermill has been transformed into a charming destination for day-trippers complete with an onsite café, petting zoo, quaint museum and play area for kids.

We will start this outing by having morning tea at The Fresh Pantry in Oxenford where you can get an eggs Benedict with salmon that redefines perfection.

After morning tea, we will make our way to the Historic Rivermill where we will explore the building itself as well as make a stop at the petting zoo where we can pat a range of cuddly critters who will welcome us with open hoofs.

Once we have finished at the petting zoo, we will have lunch at the Rivermill restaurant where you can find main meals like cheddar stuffed wagyu burger, salmon and leek pie, brie stuffed chicken burger, crispy slow cooked pork salad, whole garlic and butter damper and much more.

After lunch, we will go for a short walk around the property and lastly we will drop you home for the conclusion of the outing.
