A Walk beside Lake Moogerah
Outing Description
Making for the perfect interlude for the weary traveller, Lake Moogerah is a tranquil, crystal-clear oasis located just outside the bustling rural township of Boonah. Bordering this great lake, your senses will be struck by a mighty concrete double curvature arch dam wall towering 38 metres high and spanning 219 metres-long, this colossal structure will be a part of our walk.
First, we will have morning tea at the Revival Café Boonah. After morning tea, we will set forth on our walk alongside Lake Moogerah and across the dam wall.
When it gets closer to 12 o’clock, we will make our way to Simon’s Tavern Restaurant for lunch where you will find all your classic pub favourites such as chicken schnitzels that are as big as a dinner plate, rump steak, lamb cutlets, seafood basket and a range of burgers, salads and pastas.
After lunch, hopefully you have left room for desert because the next stop will be Rockalicious, a nearby retro rock and roll diner that serves up an array of can’t-say-no deserts. Some of Rockalicious’s deserts include - banana splits, apple crumble waffles, ice cream nachos, raisin toast deluxe with ice cream berries coulis bananas and stewed apples as well as a range of milkshakes and cakes.
Once we have peeled you off the roof after your sugar hit we will drop you home for the conclusion of the outing.
Prices
Daytime Outing Duration – 8 hours
This outing will not be offered as a night activity due to the operation times of the businesses we will be visiting. Lastly the duration of this outing is an estimate, we will try our best to conduct the activity within the allotted hours but if we are unable to for unforeseen reasons - the total cost will be adjusted accordingly.
For all forms of support travel costs = $1/km divided by the number of participants attending the outing. Payments can be made by using NDIS funds and are added on to the total cost of services after the outing.
