Redcliffe Botanic Gardens and lunch at Yabby Road

Outing Description

We are off on a road trip, this time to the heart and soul of Redcliffe at the one and only Redcliffe Botanic Gardens. At the gardens, we will find and explore attractions such as a sensory native 'quota' garden, a Chorizema spring (which was designed to emulate a natural pond system and has its own resident frog) as well as an impressive herb garden with over 500 species of medicinal, culinary, native and industrial herbs.

We will start the day by having morning tea at the Oasis café located on Redcliffe’s scenic esplanade where you could not get any closer to the bay unless you were swimming in it.

After morning tea, we will explore and take in the natural beauty of the Redcliffe Botanical Gardens. Note: there will be a considerable amount of walking throughout the time spent at the botanical gardens, this will require you to have a moderate level of fitness to be fully involved.

After our walk, we will have lunch at Yabby Road. Yabby Road is a fish and chip shop run by die-hard Beatles fans, where you can choose from all your fish and chip favourite meals whilst listening to music from the Beatles and 60’s era.

After lunch, we will have the opportunity to grab an ice cream, which we can enjoy whilst sitting by the water after which we will drop you home for the conclusion of the outing.
