Ginger Factory
Outing Description
The Ginger Factory is a Beyond Vision favourite and doesn’t need much introduction. For those who have never heard of the Ginger Factory, it has just about everything you would ever want in an outing. From guided tours of a ginger factory where you will learn the process of farming ginger and how it makes its way to our grocery stores and into some of our favourite products, to an extensive information session with a bee keeper who will teach you everything there is to know about the nature of bees.
This session includes a glassed exhibit of a bee hives that has been cut in half - but don’t worry, the bees can’t get out! After the tour you will be offered a taste test of some of the best-selling products the ginger factory has to offer as well as honey tasting.
There are free train rides that take you around the Ginger Factory property as well as ice cream shops with various ginger flavoured ice creams - as well as your standard flavours. Even the Ginger Factory restaurant stars a ginger flavoured beef burger, and if you like your coffee with a bit of ginger in it, they can do that too.
Prices
Daytime Outing Duration – 8 hours
This outing will not be offered as a night activity due to the operation times of the businesses we will be visiting. Lastly the duration of this outing is an estimate, we will try our best to conduct the activity within the allotted hours but if we are unable to for unforeseen reasons - the total cost will be adjusted accordingly.
For all forms of support travel costs = $1/km divided by the number of participants attending the outing. Payments can be made by using NDIS funds and are added on to the total cost of services after the outing.
